George L. Wimberly is the Director of Professional Development and Diversity Officer at the American Educational Research Association; gwimberly@aera.net. He develops and implements programs to enrich research skills, expand knowledge, and build research capacity among graduate students and early career scholars. His research focuses on career development and diversity among scientists and the research topics they examine.
